Organisation overview

The Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States, a multilateral legislative institution serving 12 active ECOWAS Member States.

My involvement

  • Supports the Chief Communications Officer on the annual work programme and budget for the 2025 and 2026 cycles.
  • Contributed to the Parliament's Communication Policy and Digital Communication Policy.
  • Runs the Communication Division's social media strategy: content, scheduling, brand compliance and performance reporting.
  • Writes press briefings, articles, newsletters and factsheets for plenary sessions, delocalised committee meetings and public sensitisation activities.
  • Secured verification badges for the Parliament's social media accounts.
  • During national service, designed an ECM-compatible digital registry and managed parliamentary correspondence for the central registry.

Achievements & outcomes

  • Digital registry made up to 2,000 records searchable, cutting retrieval time by about 70%.
  • Gold Medal, ECOWAS Parliament 25th Anniversary Sports Competition, 2025.
  • Master of Ceremonies at the 25th Anniversary launch.
