In brief
I'm Temile Emmanuel, known as T.O.E. I'm a communications, policy and programme specialist with more than eight years of experience across a multilateral parliament, the National Assembly of Nigeria and international business. I led strategy and communications for ECOWAS Parliament Initiatives under the Parliament's 25th Anniversary Commemorative Programme, and I now support the Parliament's Chief Communications Officer on work programmes, budgets and communication policy. Before that, as Managing Director of SYRYS Investment Ltd, I advised on cross-border real estate projects of up to USD 3 million across Nigeria, Türkiye and Northern Cyprus. As a student leader I represented more than 15,000 African and international students and founded NANS Turkish Zone.
My story
My story begins in Akure, Nigeria, where I completed my secondary education in the sciences at Becky Parker College in 2012. A year later I travelled to Girne American University to study Electrical Engineering, and that move abroad shaped much of what followed.
At university I found a second vocation in representation. Between 2014 and 2017 I served as African Students Representative and General Secretary, speaking for more than 15,000 African and international students in their dealings with university leadership and African embassies. In 2015 I founded the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Turkish Zone, giving Nigerian students in the zone a representation and governance structure. I also planned and delivered University LYMPICS, a sporting event that brought together 24 countries across eight sports. That period earned me the university's Life Eagle Ambassador recognition in 2016 and the Students National Patriot Award from All Nigerians in Diaspora Turkey in 2017.
My professional life began in analysis. From 2017 to 2019 I worked as a third-party financial analyst and economic research consultant for the brokerages AvaTrade and FxPro, producing macroeconomic research, forecasts and investment intelligence across asset classes. I then moved into the Northern Cyprus property market, first in sales and marketing at Status Estates, where I received an Outstanding Customer Satisfaction Award in 2020, and then at Quantum Realty, where I was ranked the company's number one consultant in 2021 and conceived a property management platform serving a portfolio of 300 to 500 properties. Alongside this work I went back to study, completing an honours degree in Business Management in 2023, later evaluated by World Education Services.
From 2022 to 2024 I led SYRYS Investment Ltd as Managing Director and regional investment consultant, advising international clients on more than ten real estate projects valued at up to USD 3 million across Nigeria, Türkiye and Northern Cyprus, and negotiating between investors and developers.
Back in Abuja, I turned toward public institutions. As Special Assistant on Legislative Affairs and Policy at the National Assembly of Nigeria, I wrote the briefing notes and talking points a committee chairman carried into sittings, public hearings and oversight sessions on petroleum-sector governance and Niger Delta policy, and I coordinated consultations with more than 50 public and private organisations.
My national service placed me at the ECOWAS Parliament, the legislative assembly of the West African community. In its registry I designed an ECM-compatible digital records system that made up to 2,000 records searchable and cut retrieval time by about 70%. I coordinated more than 30 fellow corps members, started French classes for them, and served as Master of Ceremonies at the launch of the Parliament's 25th Anniversary.
In 2026 I led strategy, planning and communications for ECOWAS Parliament Initiatives under the 25th Anniversary Commemorative Programme, appointed by the lead implementation partner Duchess N. Limited. I directed a team and delivered the programme's official website. Today I support the Parliament's Chief Communications Officer on work programmes, budgets and communication policy, run the division's social media strategy, and secured verification badges for the Parliament's accounts.
What I value
- Representation. From student associations to stakeholder consultations, my work keeps coming back to giving people a seat and a voice.
- Regional integration. West African institutions work better when their work is clearly communicated to the citizens they serve.
- Systems over effort. Registries, platforms and policies that outlast the people who built them.
- Accuracy. I publish what can be documented here, and I mark what is still in progress.
Looking ahead
TEMILE101 brings my record together in one place and gives it room to grow: new roles and ventures, published writing, and, once it is properly constituted, a foundation focused on opportunity for young people.
